Diakonia World Federation Assembly

The Diakonia World Federation Assembly is held in a different location every four years, and in July 2025 it was held in Tanzania for the very first time. Since the conference was in their country, we wanted to ensure that Tanzanian church leaders had the opportunity to meet and network with church leaders from around the world. We received enough donations to send 4 representatives from the South East of Lake Victoria Diocese and 3 representatives from the East of Lake Victoria Diocese. Thanks to your donations, Bishop Yohana Nzelu of the SELVD, Deaconess Edna Shoo, Deaconess Huruma Nemes, Deaconess Victoria Nakiliaumi, Rev. Julia Mutungi, Deaconess Esther Lema, and Assistant Bishop Dean Stephen Ling’wa John of the ELVD were able to attend this fantastic event.

Linda also attended the conference along with some of her American deaconess sisters. She then hosted a 5-day ministry tour for four American deaconesses who were able to stay after the conference. We are so grateful that Deaconess Adrainne Gray, Deaconess Ann Marie Rehbein (Next STEP Tanzania Board member), and Deaconess Leisl Begnaud were able to see what God has done and is doing in Tanzania.
